Journal cover is made by hand using full grain leather. Full grain is top part of the hide that is not sanded or buffed in the process of manufacturing. Such way of processing the hide results in very strong leather with fine surface where natural scars and marks are preserved. Dublin leather has nice pull up effect - leather gets lighter when bent; it makes each item special, with unique folds and pattern.

One of the most valued qualities of the full grain leather is its aging process - rather than wearing out, it develops natural patina, making your item look even more refined.
