      The Chess Sofa is available to order online in the presented, stocked configuration. This includes three back cushions (23" x 25") and one head roll. A part of Eilersen's promotional program, Chess can be upholstered in a selection of fabrics at a reduced price and standard lead time. Chess is a custom pieces that can be upholstered in a variety of alternative fabric and leather options, as well as Customer's Own Material (COM). To learn more, please contact us directly.

    • Doorstep Delivery

      Standard service, offers delivery of your order in its original packaging by one of our third party carriers to your doorstep. Please keep in mind if you live in an apartment and/or condominium complex this delivery option will only deliver your items as far as the front entrance of your building. This service level does not include delivery inside your home, unpacking and/or assembly.

      White Glove Delivery
      Our premium delivery option, which includes a scheduled appointment from one of our certified white glove delivery teams. The items from your order will be unpacked, assembled if necessary, put in place and all packing materials will be removed.

       

      While we do our best to provide the most accurate and up-to-date lead times online and in-store, items are occasionally backordered. Backordered items will ship upon availability.       Originally founded by Niels Eilersen in 1895 to manufacture horse-drawn carriages, today Eilersen is renown for the long-lasting comfort and timeless design of its sofas.

      Niels Eilersen was an innovative young man, being the first in Denmark to discover steam-bending wood. So when automobiles became the transportation of the future, he adapted his coach-building technique to build bodies for cars and buses. In 1934 the factory burned to the ground. Adapting once again to new circumstances, Niels Eilersen decided to start producing high-quality upholstered furniture. The Danish company has built upon the innovations of its founder and is constantly improving production techniques with new technology.
